My art is inspired by the weathered structures that surround me, paired with the concept of solitude. I aim to highlight the abandoned parts of my environment by emphasizing color and texture in places where these details are often overlooked. I create high-contrast paintings with a focus on foreground textures and rhythmic compositions.

In addition to my personal inspirations, I also find influence in artists such as Edward Hopper, Gregory Crewdson, Maxfield Parrish, and Andrew Wyeth. Hopper and Crewdson are masters at depicting a sense of solitude, making the viewer wonder about the thoughts of the figures in their works. I am influenced by Maxfield Parrish’s landscapes and his execution of the twilight feeling. Andrew Wyeth impresses me with his ability to simplify a figure within a textured landscape.

My art consists of oil paintings, gouache paintings en plein air, and digital drawings.

Digital drawings allow me to freely experiment with texture and pattern.
